Vanessa returns from the castle, with a rune-covered bag. "Great, you got it before they shadow elves did," says Gandalf as he takes the bag. You notice Tantala, the sprite, is sitting on his shoulder. "Tantala tells me that some crusaders are going to try and kill the Beast. I want you to follow her and go with them. And there are things I want you to take to them from this bag also."

Gandalf wants you to find them in Glantri, at the castle, or perhaps north of there, toward Klantyre. Tantala will guide you. Gandalf reaches in his bag to divide up the items...

Gandalf gives Vanessa the first pick of the following items:

"Take this to Lief, Knight of Darokin, when you find him," Gandalf hands Fleetwood a two-handed sword named "Orcslayer."

Gandalf hands Morpheus the dreaded Bloodsword, a very wicked blade.
