Lord Doriath announced a new jousting competition that Prudence agreed to. He doesn't want magical items to be involved in the joust. The prize for the Joust is going to be the Battleglory Armor.

Lief and Dilvish are up first. Lief goes up to Dilvish and asks him something, but is rejected...

Baltar runs off for a moment while the two joust.

They both suit up in armor, shields, lances, and steeds provided by Alfheim, and start at opposite ends of the field. The crowd is silent. Then the sound of hoofbeats start as they ride toward each other.

Dilvish's lance misses Lief (9) as Lief's misses likewise (2). The crowd grumbles as the two turn around to face each other for another pass.

Dilvish's lance misses again (6) as Lief's lance hit's Dilvish's shield quite squarely (17) knocking him off his horse. The crowd cheers.

Lief is declared as the winner.

Baltar and Fleetwood are up next.

They both suit up, and charge toward each other... Baltar's lance smashes into Fleetwood (17), knocking him off his horse immediately. There is some cheering from the crowd, while others are just dumbfounded.

Baltar is declared the winner.

Baltar and Lief suit up to joust, both calculating each other's strategies.

They both charge immediately, not wanting to give the other time to react. Baltar hits the corner of Lief's shield (8) as Lief deals Baltar a superb hit (20), throwing him backwards off his horse. The momentum and the hit from Baltar's lance causes Lief to fall as well. The crowd goes wild.

Squires bring the horses to the ends of the jousting area, as the fighters go back to mount them. Time after time, Baltar and Lief miss each other, neither wanting to be knocked off. The crowd gasps each time.

Finally, they both commit themselves and hit each other simultaneously. Lief hits Baltar perfectly with the pressure of his lance against Baltar's shield and chest (20), as Baltar's lance also hits Lief. Lief's cracks instantly under the pressure, but Lief manages to stay on his horse, and Baltar is pushed off.

Lief is declared the winner.

Lastly, Lief must challenge the original winner, Prudence.

Lief disarms her horse of her body in one pass (19), while Prudence unluckily misses (2).

Lief wins the Jousting Tournament.
