"If you're looking for Vanessa, she's already gone." replies Stone-Raven to your greeting. "She escaped. These here your friends attacked me, so I had to stop them." You notice they are frozen probably through a hold person spell. "I suggest you dissociate yourself with them before they get you into more trouble than you already are in. I do have some information about Vanessa if you want it though. Maybe we can make an arragement. How about meeting me somewhere, without your men?"

Prudence rides up on her white horse. "Let's have no killing during these festivals. If you find Vanessa, please offer peace first. I can assure you the leaders here won't tolerate any wars within this joyous time. Let Vanessa know that if she turns herself in, they are prepared to listen to her reasons why she did that, and are likely to let her continue participating in the tournaments. After all, we all make mistakes. Let's concentrate on our victory over the shadow elves, and stop fighting with each other."

Dilvish and Leanna ride up on a war horse as Prudence is making her speech.

You're able to carry all your stuff on you since I added a backpack (I think by your request, I'm not sure) to your readied items. Of course it's fair because I changed the enc of spell books to 200 so, you weren't really prepared. I don't know if all spell books should be 200 or not, but I don't think it's worth worrying about.

So did I get all the stuff and get behind a tree? None of his bags or stuff is visible, are they? I'm just going to watch unless he gets too close.

Yeah. You mean Baltar's bags? I suppose they're just as visible as anyone elses. Though with people living somewhere in the city, I'm not sure if everyone carries all their stuff with them. I kind of assume that, but I don't assume he has his horse with him.

Okay, it was defintiely longer than 20 seconds, but I wouldn't call it a drawn out conversation. Was there enough time for an armored man to make his way back to the city and then back here?

First of all, let's get it straight that how long your conversation is has NOTHING to do with whatever the other fighter did, because he was never there to begin with! He didn't escape. He had already been going to get Baltar to tell him about the campsite before you got back. I only mentioned him because you had seen him with the other three the day before.

The point about the conversation is that I want to make it clear that I don't consider the total sum of the emails to necessarily be the total sum of what your character does. In more extreme examples, your character eats, takes a crap, etc. that we NEVER talk about. I may not consider the conversation "lengthy" by our standards, but it certainly is one of the longer conversations people have had in the D&D world (from what I've seen).

What I don't understand is if this guy is just a few steps away from being immortal, what does he need my help for? Even Baltar can't take out a 36th level wizard.

Yes, this is a mystery...

"I won't fight under his terms. If you're as powerful as you imply, you fight him. Otherwise, meet me later.", I whisper.

Did you tell him what room to meet you in at the inn? How much did you tell him?

I don't have a list of everything I got from Baltar. If I can't carry all of it, i'll drop all my normal items including gold but not the jewelry. If Baltar gets within walking distance of me, stop what i'm doing and get behind a nearby tree.

So are you sticking around? Baltar can't see you.

Dilvish approaches the Wheel of Fortune only to find out he doesn't have any money. "I'll take magical items," says Ronald. Dilvish is accompanied by his wife Leanna who doesn't have any shoes.

Prudence rides up, "Baltar found Vanessa, they're outside the northwest part of town." She rides off toward that direction. Do you want to follow?
